Graphic Design Portfolio
LOGOS:
CHALLENGE: To create logos for a variety of clientele using diverse design skills.
SOLUTION: After researching competitors, creating thumbnails, next composing black and white comps created in Adobe Illustrator, using Pantone solid coated colors, then placed those designs on to mocks up designs using Adobe Photoshop.

PROCESS:
CHALLENGE: A demonstration of how I approach my design solutions. Abstract ideas were turned into completed designs.
SOLUTION: Started with 10 thumbnail sketches, best 3 were chosen, and rendered within Adobe Illustrator. After given feedback, final design was completed and mock ups were created in Adobe Photoshop.

TYPOGRAPHY:
CHALLENGE: Advertising layouts using simple design with type only and simple color palettes.
SOLUTION: The black and white ad demonstrate cost-efficient to single color budgets and type-only design. while the color ads show my ability to use visual hierarchy, complementary, and contrasting colors ( explain why color is any different than black and white aside from the obvious. Why do we use color in this way?).

LAYOUT DESIGNS:
CHALLENGE: Creating a brochure using provided copy in combination with provided images and using a three-fold template.
SOLUTION: Giving attention to visual hierarchy, optical appeal, and legibility, and using Adobe InDesign to create this brochure. While using a template being attentive to the live, trim, marks and bleeds areas, as well as the column layout, hyphenations, and widows/orphans within copy. To finalize, brochure mock-ups were created in Adobe Photoshop.

LAYOUT DESIGNS:
CHALLENGE: Creating different size layouts with provided information using price point to grab viewers attention.
SOLUTION: Giving attention to the visual hierarchy, optical appeal, and legibility, using Adobe InDesign to create newspaper articles for one ad using different sized layouts. To finalize, mock-ups were created in Adobe Photoshop.

AD DESIGN
CHALLENGE: Design a roadside billboard that can be visually processed in 3 - 5 seconds.
SOLUTION: With provided images and creating a slogan of my own and using high contrast colors, visuals, background, and type to create and eye catching billboard with realistic mock-ups to finalize production.





AD DESIGN
CHALLENGE: To create a magazine ad series with a unified theme.
SOLUTION:Creating strong visual hierarchy, as well as paying close attention to modern updated to social media tags, along with creative headline text, gradient background, and corona effect to emphasize product photography. (Might mention how you used Groups and why you used them)

PRINTING:
CHALLENGE: To assist a non-profit organization fundraiser in producing a front and back t-shirt for silk screen printing.
SOLUTION: Developing the design using Adobe Illustrator, using separation layers by spot colors to ensure every color would be separated using the silk-screening process. Proofing using the post script files to maintain the use of correct spot colors before print. Mock-ups were generated using Photoshop.

PACKAGING:
CHALLENGE: To create a cereal box design using Adobe InDesign.
SOLUTION: First I created the logo in Adobe Illustrator, used Photoshop to edit images, and AI Generated software in InDesign to create a Cereal Box design, while being minding of marks, trims, in bleeds, and folds on a template.

BRANDING:
CHALLENGE: Working with a team to establish brand identity for Mystery St. Cafe by designing a logo and other promotional items, advertising, merchandising, and supplies while maintaining unity with other team members.
SOLUTION: Logo created by Mayada Nasacar , a fellow peer designer. Partnering with Vincent Huynh to create mock-ups for T-shirts design. All designers collaborated to maintain unity and used Adobe Photoshop to create all mock-ups. (Think you might want to address the other things you developed outside the T-shirts. Each student did about 3 projects.

CHALLENGE: To redesign a non-profit organization website
SOLUTION: Website was designed in Adobe XD, considering clear, consistent, and easy navigation.
